Under much-needed downpours, over one hundred guests joined PFHCF on September 24th in the Hospitality Tent at Shelby Bonnie’s Salem Showgrounds for the PFHCF Landowner Appreciation Reception.  The gathering recognized and gave thanks to all the landowners in the Piedmont region.

As PFHCF Chair C. Dulany Morison remarked, “We stand today, in one of the nation’s largest, most special, ‘private parks’, and you all have given us the key to share it with citizens across our region for the benefit of the public and to help build support for the preservation of our countryside.”

He continued, “This is an amazing privilege, and we are here tonight to express our deepest debt of gratitude to you all, our gracious landowners.”

Piedmont landowners are the backbone of our conservation efforts and without their support we would not be able to achieve our mission.  We are blessed to have such a generous and dedicated community who leads by example, inspiring others to join us in the battle to protect our countryside for future generations.
